Is the fish you send fresh?

All our fresh fish, shellfish, and seafood is of the highest quality, the majority of which is suitable for home freezing. Please be aware that some of our frozen products, such as Prawns, can begin defrosting during courier transit as they don’t use refrigerated vans. This does not affect the product at all however you cannot re-freeze defrosted fish.

How do I order my fish and seafood?

This depends on your preference. If you’re wanting to simply open a packet and pop our fresh fish into a pan or your oven, without any preparation required, then our portion range is the perfect option for you. If you’re a more experienced cook you can order whole fish but this means you’ll have to do all the preparation yourself, such as filleting or de-boning, as appropriate for your dish. We automatically gut all fish apart from Sardines and Mackerel.

If you have a dinner party to cater for and require a large amount of fish, you can order by the fillet or by the kilo. However, if you’re not sure about fish weight calculations or fillet sizes we don’t advise you order in this way. Of course, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call our office.

We send all our fish in convenient easy to use packs which are then packed in polystyrene insulated boxes with frozen ice packs. This keeps our fish ready chilled for your fridge on the day of delivery.
